Graphic design intern

The Graphic Intern works with the Art Director to learn our branding narrative and create graphic design across The Derschang Group’s restaurant and bar holdings. Workflow will include creating and updating seasonal menus, merchandise and marketing materials projects, and seasonal signage for special events. The Graphic Intern will have a hand in creating other location visual branding as needed. This is a part-time, entry-level position that is open to students still pursuing their education with the possibility of becoming full time after graduation, depending on performance review. The Graphic Intern is overseen by and works in conjunction with the Art Director.

Qualified candidates will have the following professional skills: 

  •  Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Knowledgeable about typography

  • Ability to work collaboratively and with flexibility

MARKETING AND ADMINISTRATIVE ASSISTANT

The Marketing Administrative Assistant is a dynamic, part time role whose tasks can vary significantly between administrative office support, marketing assistance, and assisting the CEO. Priority is placed on supporting the CEO’s consistent needs and facilitating communication between the CEO and Creative Team. Tasks include professional correspondence, scheduling, running errands, and organizing and filing projects.

Qualified candidates will have the following professional skills:

  •  Conduct polished business and personal correspondence on behalf of the CEO and Creative Team

  • Assist CEO with creating written materials for digital use and publication

  • Maintain and update personal and shared calendars for CEO and Creative Team

  • Manage CEO’s schedule and communications as needed

  • Maintain data management platforms and organizational systems for both physical and digital information for CEO and Creative Team

  • Assist with special event communications, logistics, and set up /break down

  • Run errands and complete practical tasks

  • Assist with marketing maintenance, organization and production as needed including but not limited to writing press releases, maintaining social media platforms, and creating content for social media

  • Generate monthly social media analytic reports and press recaps

Sous Chef, Oddfellows Café

Oddfellows Cafe + Bar on Capitol Hill seeks a Sous Chef to join our dynamic restaurant team. We are looking for someone to assist the chefs in day to day operations as well as maintain our standards and cost controls.

Qualified individuals should have 3 years of supervisory kitchen experience, and working knowledge of food cost controls and labor management techniques, as well as a familiarity with the seasonality and availability of products from our region. TDG is offering open positions at Smith, Tallulah's, Oddfellows Café, King's Hardware, and Linda's Tavern. Available shifts range from full-time to part-time; breakfast, weekend brunch, lunch, and dinner.
